Admission Criteria:
- Adolescents between the ages of age 12-18.
- Adolescents who have a Primary Psychiatric Illness, including but not limited to depression, mood disorders, anxiety, post traumatic stress, psychosis, medical issues complicated by a psychiatric disorder and drug or alcohol related issues associated with a primary psychiatric disorder.
- Adolescents who are assessed as intellectually, cognitively, and emotionally able to benefit from residential treatment.
- Adolescents that have not responded to other intensive therapeutic interventions such as out patient care or acute hospitalizations.
- Adolescents that have emotional, mental, or behavioral problems that cannot be adequately treated in the existing home or school environment.
Exclusion Criteria:
Adolescents who present with severe sexual disorders, moderate mental retardation, fire starting or primary diagnosis of Reactive Attachment Disorder.
