Psychological assessment is an important part of treatment; it helps clarify diagnosis and give direction to treatment
planning. We have a licensed psychologist on staff to provide a full range of psychological assessment: intellectual and
cognitive; psychological or emotional; personality and behavioral; substance abuse; and academic achievement testing.
Psychological assessment helps identify developmental and/or cognitive functioning deficits, learning disabilities,
psychological or emotional dysfunction or disturbances, and personality characteristics or behavioral difficulties
that contribute to disruption in the patient's life.
Teton Peaks also performs an ongoing assessment of each patient, offering an objective review of the progress the patient
is making in treatment.
Some patients come to Teton Peaks after treatment in an acute setting or another residential program. If they have
already received psychological evaluation, this can often be used in the patient's treatment plan.
